Healthcare Marketing Account Coordinator

CCH Marketing + Public Relations is seeking an experienced social media coordinator for a designated client within the healthcare industry. The social media coordinator will be responsible for the ongoing management and monitoring of social media channels. This will be a full-time, salaried position. The position is project-based, and will last 9 months with the possibility of becoming permanent.

This position will report to Amanda Jane Saunders-Johnston, Account Manager. Applicants should be confident in writing about unfamiliar and technical subject matter for a broad public audience. The position requires strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills, and a sound understanding of brand and service line marketing strategies. Applicants should be familiar with reputation management and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage ongoing editorial calendar up to 3 months in advance
  • Create, edit, proof and publish a variety of engaging content across multiple social media channels
  • Adhere to client style guidelines and uphold best practices to ensure brand consistency
  • Willingness to take direction on and intimately learn each department and service line pain points in order to best meet client needs
  • Provide regular progress updates
  • Adhere to agreed-upon project deadlines
  • Monitor social media trends and their impact on the brands you will manage
  • Assume responsibility for copyediting, fact-checking and proofreading
  • Interact with patients and the community in real time on various social media platforms
  • Adhere to client voice while answering questions, offering solutions and mediating conversations
  • Support the Account Manager with other essential duties as needed

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in advertising/public relations, journalism or a similar specialty with an intensive writing curriculum
  • 2-3+ years of experience in professional writing, marketing and social media
  • Familiarity with AP style and ability to adapt to modified style guidelines
  • Task-oriented individual accustomed to writing content for social media in a deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to speak to a unique audience and motivate them to engage and act
  • Familiarity with crisis communications and mitigation
  • Experience in the healthcare industry a plus
  • General knowledge of current healthcare and medical topics and trends
  • Strategic and conceptual thinker
  • Must have the ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Should be extremely detail-oriented
  • Team-oriented and flexible with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Interested in and able to speak to a diverse and informed patient audience
  • Strong familiarity with social media best practices
  • Willing to work during non-standard business hours in occasional circumstances
  • Ability to write creative briefs for design team

Employment Details

This is a full-time position and employee benefits will be offered after 90 days. The position is project-based, and will last 9 months with the possibility of becoming permanent. Compensation is negotiable depending on level of experience. CCH Marketing is an equal opportunity employer.
